POOL & PARC

Summer at Le Parc is all about outdoor living. Meals are shared and games are played in the warmth of the sun or in a spot of dappled shade. The saltwater pool provides cool respite and a place to lounge and enjoy the tranqility of this deeply rural corner of France.  Swing in a hammock, play a bit of badminton or table tennis, kick a ball or just do nothing at all. Bliss.

LE PARC

There are six acres of parkland to enjoy -  several of which are mown regularly to accomodate games, walks or just lounging under trees. Other parts are left natural to sustain the wildlife, including a shallow frog pond at the front of the property. At Le Parc you can spot many types of beautiful birds, butterflies, lizards, foxes, rangodin and even the odd harmless snake when the weather is warm.  There are lovely views toward ancient church in Gourge, especially at sunset.

OUTDOOR DINING
On the gravelled terrace to the front of the property is a large round table with parasol and seating for 8. The pavillon has its own small deck complete with a round table and seating for 4. There are three sturdy picnic benches around the pool area under an impressive shady oak which can cater for 16 when positioned together, and for Spring 2025  we have a new large BBQ terrace with outdoor dining area  for large groups and of course a decent BBQ with fuel included.

POOL

The pool is 12 x 5 metres long with a depth of 1.2 metres at the shallow end and 2 metres at the deep end. It has full width steps in case you just want to play at the edges, and it's equipped with an alarm. It is a salt water system which converts natural salt into a light form of chlorine which is much gentler on the skin and eyes than traditional chlorine. The pool is unheated but retains temperature perfectly through summer. It's open from April until late October. There are sun loungers for everyone which can be moved according to the path of the summer sun.

CANINE COMPANIONS

Being the owners of two dogs ourselves we couldn't imagine a holiday without them - especially with all the land to enjoy. Well behaved dogs are always welcome - we provide a couple of bowls for them. We do our best to keep Le Parc safe and dog proof, but the most determined will often create their own opportunities for mischief. Keep an eye if you own one of those, as neighbouring fields sometimes contain livestock. Guests can access a network of walking and paths just outside our gate - please keep dogs leashed or under control on these - again due to livestock.
